Ancora is a spin-off of the University of Vigo founded in 2019 to augment worker performance on the shop floor using an intelligent multimodal UX that combines tactile, voice and AI.
The cognitive load of the worker on the factory shop floor turns simple tasks into complex ones. The consequences are that production slows down and adding new workers becomes hard. And digital transformations made this worst with poorly designed interfaces. This “digital gap” needs to be addressed with tools that help shop floor operators perform better in a shorter time while avoiding training.
Ancora develops and markets Ancora Worker Connect, a voice-enabled software that connects to the MOM software of the customer and adapts the digital factory to the needs of manufacturing workers, improving their performance in a shorter time.
