Partners of SURE5.0 project met at Bourdeaux for its kick-off

The 11 consortium members involved in the SURE5.0 European project held their first meeting on the 15th and 16th of June 2022 at the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux (France).

During this two-day event organised by the project leader, Aerospace Valley, around 20 representatives from partners had the opportunity to get to know each other and review the main objectives and activities planned during these 3 years of future collaboration.

The different work package leaders made presentations to remind the tasks to be carried out, with a special focus on those due in the next 6 months, explaining the progress made up to date but also the next steps. They also put attention on the list of deliverables, milestones and KPIs, in order to have a better understanding of the project and the right coordination among partners and activities.

Taking advantage of this presential meeting, the partners could also take part in a workshop moderated by CEAGA, in order to identify the main target groups of the project and for each of them, the messages to communicate and the right channels to approach them. This brainstorming will serve as a basis to prepare one of the first deliverables of the project, the “Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation”, that will define the strategy to communicate the project effectively and with the greatest impact.

SURE5.0 is a European project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. Its main objective is to support SMEs from the Civil Transportation (MTA and aerospace & defence) and Electronics ecosystems to integrate in their manufacturing processes the industry 5.0 principles, in order to become more human-centric, sustainable and resilient.

The project will foster the adoption and deployment of advanced technologies as well as the consideration of social innovation practices that will facilitate their twin transition (digital and green) through different activities where SMEs could benefit from: assessment reports, webinars, access to the project community, networking and peer- learning events, tailored services and most importantly, financial support for their 5.0 projects, provided through the launch of FSTP open calls.
