Located in Seville, CATEC is the leading private technology center dedicated to aerospace in Spain. CATEC’s six technological units collaborate on R&D activities, specializing in Automation & Robotics, Testing & Advanced Processes, Additive Manufacturing, Perception & AI, Autonomous Systems, and Embedded Systems.
CATEC is certified to meet aerospace standards, but also works in other sectors, like mobility, health and agriculture. The RTO participates in numerous regional, national, and European research projects, such as FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe and INTERREG. The center has over 3,000 m2 of lab space, 1,500 m2 of offices, and employs a dedicated team of over 120 researchers from a range of technical backgrounds. CATEC’s work has been recognized with various national or international awards, such as the International Robotics Challenge.
CATEC continues to contribute to the advancement of the industry, through applied research, technology knowledge and transfer.
